The covered gem mine is open rain or shine. We also have the largest souvenir store on the trail system for many gem & riding related souvenirs. We are directly on the Devil Anse trail #1. Check our resort out on the Hatfield McCoy Trail maps. We are on both maps for the 3 connected trails because we are in the center ! Colorful gems in every bucket! Gemstone mining is fun for the whole group & a great opportunity to prospect for your own precious & semi-precious stones. Come experience the wonder and excitement of prospecting for gemstones in a pleasant and fun atmosphere. Our mining operation is fully covered and we are open rain or shine, 7 days a week! We even guarantee a gem find every time, so everyone can feel the thrill! Gemstone buckets are available in 2 sizes. We have 2 gallon bucket contents for $39 & can be shared by 2-3 miners or 5 gallon bucket contents for $69 & can be shared with 4-6 miners. It really just depends on how many gems each miner would like to go home with! Children are fascinated by these stones and this is a great geological field trip for students. Keep this in mind teachers!
